More info

WEBBER NATURALS Lactase Enzyme Extra strength 120 capsules : Lactase Enzyme, Extra Strength, provides relief from lactose intolerance by improving digestion of milk and dairy products. Lactase Enzyme allows people with lactase deficiency to eat or drink dairy foods without experiencing uncomfortable symptoms like diarrhea, abdominal bloating, audible bowel sounds, flatulence, nausea, abdominal cramping.

Research in brief

The inability to digest lactose is referred to as lactose intolerance.  Persons of African, Asian, Mediterranean, and North American Indian descent have a higher tendency toward lactose intolerance. Lactose intolerance causes diarrhea, abdominal bloating, audible bowel sounds, flatulence, nausea, abdominal cramping, and often, an urgent need to defecate. Lactose-intolerant children can also be disadvantaged if they consume milk sugar because diarrhea can challenge normal nutrient uptake and subsequent growth. While adults are no longer growing,  lactose intolerance can compromise optimal nutritional status, such as impaired calcium absorption.

The good news is that we can take lactase enzyme and enjoy the things that contain lactose sugar. For best control over lactose intolerance, follow the label directions but be prepared to experiment within the stated consumption range. You may also find that complementing lactase enzyme with probiotics provides the best overall outcome.
